Delivery Mission

This section explains on how to create mission, add and navigate waypoints, and choose a finish action for the mission.

To make a delivery mission follow these steps:

  • Navigate to Delivery, and click on Mission Overview.

  • While creating a mission overview you have to configure:

    1. Name the mission: Add a name to the mission.

    2. Mission Speed: Set the default mission speed to adjust the drone's movement speed from the take-off point to the last waypoint. The speed can range between 1 to 60 m/s for both Mission and waypoint speeds will specify at what speed the drone will execute the delivery.

    3. Mission altitude: Define the default mission altitude to adjust the drone's altitude from take-off point to last.

    4. Mission Radius: Adjust the mission radius to enable curved path movement of the drone past all waypoints. (Note: enabling radius cancels waypoint actions if set)

    5. Finish action: Set the finish action for the drone when it reaches the last waypoint of the mission: Return to Home, Land, Round trip or Hover.

  • To add more waypoints to the mission, move your cursor onto the map and click on the desired location. Repeat the same to add more waypoints.

  • To insert waypoints between pick-up and drop-off locations, select the pick-up waypoint and click the “+” icon.

Once the waypoint mission has been executed, the drone will have to perform a finish action. You may select any one of the four finish actions:

  1. Hover - The drone will execute hover after finishing the mission. If no waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will execute hover at the last waypoint (drop-off) and end the mission. If waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will land at the drop-off, pause the mission, cover the remaining waypoints, and hover at the last waypoint before finally ending the mission.

  2. Land - The drone will execute a land at the last waypoint. If no waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will execute land at the last waypoint (drop-off) and end the mission. If waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will land at the drop-off, pause the mission, cover the remaining waypoints, and land at the last waypoint before finally ending the mission.

  3. Return to Home (RTH) - The drone will execute return to home after finishing the mission. If no waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will execute RTH at the last waypoint (drop-off) and end the mission. If waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will land at the drop-off, pause the mission, cover the remaining waypoints, and trigger RTH at the last waypoint before finally ending the mission.

  4. Round trip - Drone will return to the original location after finishing the mission, taking the planned mission path for return travel. If no waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will land at the drop-off, pause the mission, and then return to the pick-up location taking the planned mission path. If waypoints are given after the drop-off, the drone will land at the drop-off, pause the mission, cover the remaining waypoints, and then return to the pick-up location taking the planned mission path.

After setting the mission speed, adding the waypoints and selecting the finish action, click on "Create" to save the mission. A prompt will ask to send the mission details to the receiver, click “Yes” to send the details to the receiver.

During the mission, the drone will just pass through the pick up location and will not land. It is recommended to keep the mission altitude as per your geographical location to avoid trees and buildings on your mission path.
